Articles are written from named, checkable sources: academic papers, official agency data (e.g. AFAD, USGS, UNDRR), and firsthand field experience. Statistics, quotes and named findings are traced to a specific source rather than restated from memory or from a single secondhand summary. Where a claim cannot be verified, the article says so rather than presenting it as settled fact.

Some articles are first drafted with the help of an AI writing tool, working from research notes and sources supplied by the author. An AI-assisted draft is never published as written: every draft is reviewed, fact-checked against its stated sources, and edited by the author before it goes live.
